Q. What makes Ripples Swim School unique?

A.

At Ripples Swim School we operate a family-friendly facility with warm pool and air temperatures. Our saltwater pool and customized amenities are designed around the needs of children and families. The Swim Lessons we offer move at your child’s pace with small class sizes and levels broken down into easy to achieve benchmarks. Ripples Swim School offers “continual” lesson programs rather than “session based” programs. Continual lessons meet at a pre-designated time, once a week (multiple days per week can be added easily). Your child will be automatically re-enrolled at the beginning of each month for their same time slot. Due to there being no gaps and no time-off between sessions, continual lessons help to prevent skills from eroding. Kids who take year round swim lessons learn to swim and be safe in the water at a faster pace.

Q. Why a saltwater pool?

A.

Saltwater pools are on the rise as an alternative to traditional chlorine-based pools. One of the biggest advantages of a saltwater pool is that they are more environmentally safe and use fewer chemicals than a traditional chlorine-based pool. Another advantage is the level of comfort you experience in a saltwater pool. You can say good-bye to red stinging eyes, irritated skin, discolored hair, and faded swimsuits as saltwater pools are much softer on your skin, hair, and eyes. They are also far more suitable for asthma and allergy sufferers.

Q. How do I sign up for swim lessons?

Note: Ripples Swim School enrollment operates on a CONTINUAL basis, not on a fixed session basis, and will automatically renew at the beginning of every month. To withdraw from your lesson, a withdraw from must be submitted by the first day of your last month of lessons.

Q. How do I pay for lessons?

A.

We offer the convenience of automatic recurring bill payments. We require a credit/debit card to be left on file, securely stored in your customer account. We will charge you automatically each month for the cost of that coming month's lessons. 

Q. How do I withdraw from lessons?

A.

You can withdraw your child from lessons at any time. Click here for our Withdrawal Form for West Warwick and Click here for our Withdrawal Form for Bristol. Due to our intricate schedule, we require withdrawal forms be submitted prior to the student's last full month of lessons.

Q. What is your cancellation/makeup policy?

A.

There is a limit of 1 make up class per month credited to your account while enrolled at Ripples Swim School. Makeup lessons expire 30 days from the date of the absence. To qualify for a makeup lesson, you must cancel your lesson on our website at least 2 hours prior to your lesson start time. Makeup lessons can be used any time while enrolled at Ripples Swim School. Makeup lessons can only be used while currently enrolled in lessons and missed makeup lessons cannot be made up. A cancellation of your enrollment will lead to a forfeiture of all unused makeup swim lessons on your account. Please note, makeup lessons cannot be used to extend lessons past your requested last class date, we cannot guarantee makeup swim lessons with specific teachers and we cannot guarantee that missed Private or Semi-Private lessons can be made up in Private or Semi-Private classes. Make up classes are non-transferable.

Q. How can I change my day/time of lesson?

A.

Contact us to re-arrange your lesson time. We will do our best to accommodate the time you desire. Please click here to see all available lesson classes and times.

Q. What is the Inclement Weather Policy?

A.

If you are unsure as to whether or not swim classes are being held due to weather, please call us. If we do cancel classes (for any reason), we will schedule a free make-up class for you.

Q. Can I request a specific instructor?

A.

Yes. You can request a specific instructor and we will do our best to accommodate your request. However, we are unable to guarantee a specific instructor.
