waiting for them there. We recommend that they arrive at the pool with their swimsuit already on underneath their clothing. This will make getting them ready for their lesson once you arrive much easier. Also, please encourage children to use the bathroom before their lesson to minimize interruptions in their instruction time. The Rhode Island Board of Health requires that any adult or child who uses the pool take a shower immediately before getting in the pool. We recommend that children do not eat a large meal before lessons. Beginning swimmers under two years of age should avoid food (especially dairy products) 2 to 3 hours prior to each lesson.

Your child will need to have a swim suit and towel for their lesson. For children who are not potty trained or under the age of 3.5 we require that they wear a swim diaper. You can purchase swim diapers at our school for your convenience. Although not mandatory, some children may prefer to wear goggles. If your child chooses to use goggle please ensure that they are quality, well-fitting goggles. If you do not have goggles we have them available for purchase at our school. It’s very important we start and end each lesson on time. For your child to receive their full instruction time please be ready on the pool deck at least 5 minutes prior to your scheduled lesson.
